996 Millenium edition

Post by rft218 »

Hi All,

I know its got water in it but thought it might be of some interest to someone...

I have a friend who has a 911 Millenium edition. It is numbered edition of 911 cars worldwide so pretty rare. They are all in the same colour, Chromflair of with brown leather interior and plaques to show what number they are. They all have chrome over alloy wheels and are wide body cars. This one is RHD manual and UK car. It has 130k miles and one registered keeper, and I believe full history with Porsche and I believe Camtune up to 130k miles. . More details on the edition are here; https://www.stuttcars.com/porsche-911-c ... -996-2000/

That’s the good news story 😊. This one was bought by my friend many years ago with an engine fault . He has removed engine and box and stripped the engine media blasted the cases and it is ready to go back together. The body looks ok, but its hard to get around it as it’s a bit covered up!. Apparently there are a couple of bits of wooden trim that need a refurb and the wheels need refinishing.
Unfortunately the chap has some serious back issues and cant now put it back together and he also has 5 or 6 projects in his workshop that he also needs to work out a plan for. He used to be in the motor trade and also did a lot of racing and rallying so is a pretty experienced in cars and mechanics generally.

He asked me to put a message out to see if there are any enthusiasts out there that would fancy the project. I think he is sensible about the money is after at about £12k and would be a nice car to finish and use, especially being a manual.

It's based in Cornwall
