I run LED bulbs in the 964 and think they are a great improvement .

Running these [well similar - not Porsche therefore cheaper] in both Jaffa 911 and Tango 914 - vast improvement!!

How easy were these to fit into a 911 rim?

Those don’t look remotely authentic! I’m hoping the Porsche LED bulbs will be almost indistinguishable from H4s behind the lens Image

It they are on a flat nose they are not seen I guess, and therefore no light unit to contend with either….

The 911 ones I have seen are about £1200 for a pair of units fitted to a 964 housing. I can’t quite decide if I like the halo DRLs etc versus the original look. Either way, not a problem I will face into until I have changed my front wings and have lowered the risk of them bidding for freedom on a bump

.

This is what I fitted to my Elite - & what I'd fit to my 911 if I was keeping it:

- bought from Classic Car LED's (along with LED replacements for all of the other bulbs).

Current price is ~ £70 for a pair ...

According to someone on Pelican..........and the pictures of the items seem to prove it Philips Ultinon Pro6000 LEDs, are in fact what Porsche is re-branding and up-selling

I guess there’ll always be options for everything - some cheaper and good, others less so

Although I can’t find Porsche listed on any of Phillips’ compatibility lists?…

What i have in Jaffa 911 and Tango 914.
To clarify -Flachbau popups are only up at night- aren't actually Porsche units so who cares what they look like when not being used?
In use they are sensational!!
I also have LED boards in the FB under bumper/fog lights - very bright and I use these as running lights all the time.
All other light are also LED bulbs with LED boards for the running/brake lights- https://www.spokeworksled.com/
Bright is good!!

Understood and totally get that in Flachbau but you know me - any deviation from factory spec for Gina gives me palpitations!

You probably will not if Porsche have the exclusive rights to only sell for their vehicles, and approve themselves.
