Did you change the flasher unit at the same time ?
If not, that could be the problem as, since the LEDs take less current, it confuses the original flasher unit.
I didnt.
What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

You normally have to fit a resistor inline James depending on what LEDs you used. I did find some when I had the 914 that were like a Christmas tree on a bayonet bulb and they didn’t need anything

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Took the Lola to the first Championship meeting at Loton Park near Shrewsbury today.
Wet practice run on fresh slicks and new seat belts and fist run of the season = carefully up the long hill.
2nd run in drier conditions and all was well, and the 3rd run is pretty good conditions went very nicely.
Wheels out of balance!
Always seems to happen with fresh slicks, but can live with this for tomorrow and the timed runs.
Just 2 in the class, Nigel with his mighty Rover V8 of 4.6 litres and after my blood.

That’s brilliant after all your hard work Wayne.
I’ll look forward to seeing it through the season.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Thanks gents
I need to learn to get the best from it but I had only driven it on / off the trailer before the event! It is blisteringly fast - putting the power down in the corners just invokes wheelspin and opposite lock, it’s addictive and hilarious.
I was second in my first day in the top class, and fastest Porsche in the last run of the day so am pleased with a decent days work

Checked valve clearances (or rather, non-clearances, as always set them to zero when using chrome-moly pushrods). Hateful job on a 914! Took car for five-mile blast to check all OK ahead of first meeting this weekend. Spent rest of day watching live coverage of Loton Park hillclimb on YouTube. And drinking beer.

Another day at the machine shop making things for my engine build. Sadly I held this valve seat a bit too tightly in the lathe.
