Re: The Great Big DDK Meet of 2024!!!
I would have come along but for a clash with a big hill climb meeting.
Hope it can work out next year for us.

Re: The Great Big DDK Meet of 2024!!!
I’m happy to arrange something for next year again. I have already spoken with Phil at C&M who has said if we fill the place then it’s all ours as a private event then.
I hope we can get as many DDK’ers to Megaphonics next year too, as it such an awesome event, but happy to mix it up each year, we can do different things each time.

Re: The Great Big DDK Meet of 2024!!!
For us from Bristol, C & M was really good. It’s a great facility to just chill in, get food and drink and have time to talk and see each other’s cars (which I realise now that I really didn’t get to do properly). I agree about Megaphonics - although, once again I didn’t really pause to drink in just what amazing cars Frank and team had assembled there. (Trish and I had to get back to relieve dog sitters). I’d be up for Silverstone, although it’s a soul-less place imho. Maybe Donnington classic races or some such. You need an event to attend - From my pics I reckon we had about 40 cars this time (?) - maybe more as I didn’t count DDK’ers in ‘other’ cars - so drive outs are pretty difficult en masse.anglophone1 wrote:A week later and plenty of time to reflect.
As i''ve mentioned elsewhere Dave and I had a great time - at Megaphonics I even found Frank Cassidy and said how impressed I was [unlike me]!!!
I'd be happy to do it all again next year- with more notice we may get even more of us together!
I believe that C&M as gathering place and hotel worked well together- as location goes you cant please everyone but its about as central as it gets and we know that it works.
I'm unsure about returning to Boxengasse/Megaphonics on Sunday but as an alternative if we ran it a bit later in August we could do Sunday at Silverstone Classic?
All other suggestions/comments/criticisms/praise welcomed- lets have your feedback please?

Donington Historic Festival in May is fantastic value on a superb circuit imojeremyg wrote:For us from Bristol, C & M was really good. Re: The Great Big DDK Meet of 2024!!!
DDK MEET 2024 WAS GREAT - 2025?
Been looking at this - Donington Historic is early May [Probably 3 and 4th May 2025]which may fit better [or worse] as a date for many.
So how about assemble C&M Saturday as before - use same hotel- worked fine IMO and the rates may be even better in May!!
Sunday drive to Donington is 1hr 30 mins from our hotel [avoiding motorways]
Donington Historic looks great and has a club deal where we get our own parking etc.
Parade laps available too....

Your thoughts folks??

I am unlikely to make the Donington one, but would definitely be up for another megaphonics meet. Maybe 2 meets if there is enough interest?
