I had the rear wheels (Group 4 7R reps) off recently to put some new tyres on and found one of the rear 20mm hub-centric spacers had some quite significant cracking on one side.
Not sure about hosting the pictures I have, but these are the type of spacers.

I fitted these in 2016 and I would say I’ve done between 10-14,000 miles on them.
I was a little shocked to see these cracks. At the moment I can’t find the receipt so am not sure where I bought them from. Anyone had similar experience?
Feeling next time I’ll go for the Porsche style with longer studs.

Re: 20mm wheel spacers for 7R
If it’s helpful, the early (<85) 944 came with 21mm spacers on the rear & long wheel studs to match.
I might even have some of those studs in a drawer. Maybe.

Thanks Bruce. That maybe is what my mate was referring too. He said he might have some. I didn’t realise they would be from 944s. That suggests they won’t be too hard to come by.

Probably the most common use, although the studs have a 911 part number (91133167100) so possibly had other uses.

Thank Bruce.
That’s really helpful.
Are these hub-centric? I remember that seemed important when I was buying the bolt on ones.
Maybe it’s not relevant with this type?

Originals are hub centric.
These look like the original items. Right part number.
