I’ve spent a fair bit of time soaking up knowledge and feeding my interest on here over the years and so though I’d say a quick hello (and thank you).
I’ve been interested in early Air Cooled VW’s for a long time but started looking at early 912/912’s in the early 2000’s (back when there were lots arriving in U.K. shores) and even set up a ‘Porsche fund’ pot in a savings account.
However, usual story….life and buying houses somewhat took over (and ‘re-distributed’) the fund and - whilst always keeping a VW (or three…) the nearest I’ve gotten so far was an early 944.
I was recently browsing and spotted I’ve been registered since 2019 so thought it was time to get involved (and if I do ever find and buy a car it could be the slowest purchasing decision on record
)I’ve bumped into a few people (with some lovely cars) I guess frequent here over the years - either at VW shows or more recently around East Anglia and look forward to doing again once the summer arrives.
