Happy 50th to my 911
Its hard to believe that the earliest impact bumper cars are now 50 years old. My US Spec Porsche 911 Carrera was manufactured in Novemeber 1973. Lets hope its still around in another 50....

Mine was then registered in May 74, 6 days before I was born so we are having a joint 50th party.

this photo was taken before the lockplate was replaced during the restoration

Re: Happy 50th to my 911
Thanks Anta
The vin- and build- numbers interests me
I couldn't resist some googling, so I can understand the pace of building the cars a bit better
For model year 1974 my unscientific compilation based on vin numbers above from Stuttcars.com shows there were built:
11.745 cars in total, roughly 1150 cars/months during the 10-11 build months
build or body number 104xxxx 7058 coupe's, roughly 700 coupe/month during the 10-11 build months
build or body number 114xxxx 4687 targa's, roughly 450 targa/month during the 10-11 build months
or roughly/ vin number serie
911410xxxx 400 base coupe/month
911411xxxx 300 base targa/month
911430xxxx 135 S-coupe/month
911431xxxx 90 S-targa/month
911440xxxx 50 us-carrera coupe/month
911441xxxx...25 us-carrera targa/month
911460xxxx 100 carrera coupe/month
9114609xxx...12 carrera 3.0RS and RSR/month
911461xxxx 40 carrera targa/month
