Great pic and makes a change of just seeing pics of slammed type2’s . What’s the specs of the cars or are they stock ish
Thanks Image

The red car is a 1200. 100% rust free & looking splendid in the paint (owned / restored over last few years). It’s mostly stock except with discs at the front & koni reds all round. It’s a “retro sport” rally look on original revolution alloys (rare with the 4x130 bolt pattern). Few well chosen decals to complete the look. Engine is stock 1200 at the moment but I’m building a mild 1.6 for the owner (counter weight crank, scat cam, 3angle/ported heads etc). Goes well down the road.

The white car is long term owned stock car which the owner has gradually fettled / fixed etc over the years so it’s in great shape inside & out. It’s got a stock 1300 and drums all round. It’s actually slower than the red 1200 but that’s due to the light right foot rather than the engine :)

The silver car is more “resto mod”. 100% solid & rust free but the paint is tired now. Stripped out inside & lightweight carpet going in soon. Rear seat delete & modern leather front seats. Lots of non original parts. Boxster brakes all round, uprated rear torsion bars, rare 15mm front antiroll bar (whiteline) & 944 rear antiroll bar. Gaz adjustable dampers. Boxster 16x6 alloys (needing refurb & better tyres). Handles very well and the brakes are excellent. Engine is 1641, stock crank, stock cam, 3angle/ported heads, Honda CBR throttle bodies/injection on 3D printed nylon manifolds, diy ECU, VW mk4 coil pack, Mex beetle fuel pump assembly, Mex beetle oil pump & filter , stainless old autocavan/phoenix exhaust. Engine is a test bed for the EFI conversion & will be kept as a backup. Plan is to fit a type4 with EFI & I have a good chunk of the parts. Although I’m tempted to pop in a mild cam & bump the compression of the 1641 engine first.

None of them are “slammed” as they are set up driving hard (well for 2 of the 3 Image). Interestingly the 1641 runs the coolest despite those pistons/cylinders having a reputation for running hot. I’m sure that’s down to the EFI which has 38degrees of advance at cruise.

Very cool

Your car is an ideal candidate for a hot type 4 with the looks and brake set up. Good to see the cars set up for driving

Ideally it will get a turbo too (Ruf fanboy who wishes he’d bought CTR#29 when I could have afforded it) but finding a way to package the intercooler discretely is tricky.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.
