As people have said before, great work bootsy & Olena. Is it possible to turn on links opening in a new tab?

Re: Welcome to the new improved DDK Forum.....
Interestingly it’s not a feature you can enable - strange but true
I have investigated it - there’s reasoning behind it to do with W3c compliance and the want for the forum code to pass
It’s is possible by installing an extension which I can do and will investigate

Re: Welcome to the new improved DDK Porsche Forum.....
I have passed all of your good wishes over to Olena in case she didn't't log in and see them.
I was chatting with her yesterday finalising a last few bits.
She said ' I hope they stop launching rockets all over Ukraine, because it's very scary. We are afraid to go to the store after the attack on Kramatorsk. This is our land and we will fight for it as everyone can. We want to live here and see Ukraine successful.'
Kind of brings everything into perspective

New forum is great but is there a way to turn off email notifications as I read all the posts via Tapatalk and have notifications enabled on my phone so don’t need email as well?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You know on a desktop you can do this by ctrl+clicking, or clicking with your scroll button, right?DarthMJH wrote:As people have said before, great work bootsy & Olena. Is it possible to turn on links opening in a new tab?
Thanks Thomas and Olena for bringing up to date.

Re: Welcome to the new improved DDK Forum.....
It's a really good point and whenever the question of why do links open in the same window comes up on the Forum Software Support site the developers answer with exactly this.RobFrost wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 10:42 amYou know on a desktop you can do this by ctrl+clicking, or clicking with your scroll button, right?DarthMJH wrote:As people have said before, great work bootsy & Olena. They suggest users getting into the habit of doing exactly what you suggest Rob
There's many reasons - it's all about Best Practice and the goal to achieve XHTML 1.0 Strict-validation for the PHPBB Forums.
If anybody is interested have a read of this https://belikewater.ca/blog/entry/linking-best-practice (and remember to right click / ctrl and click or hit the scroll button when you do it!)
I can install extensions to achieve it but - there are issues and the less number of extensions I install the better - easier to maintain int he long run

It all looks great so far. One thing - the site has forgotten which pages I've already viewed. And so have I of course.
I've logged out and back in but that hasn't helped?

Re: Welcome to the new improved DDK Porsche Forum.....
Seems strange - are you clicking on the new postage link? Seems to be working ok for me but you may have cleared something else.
Do you not get the little 'Red Page' icon on threads which you have content you haven't read?
