Engine Yolk P201

Post by 1972_911t »

A while back I read a post about people wanting a resonable UK supplier of the P201 eninge holders Ive tried searching but have not managed to find the original post so thought Id start a new one. Yesturday I went to get my gearbox rebuilt and the guy who did it had a load of these he had copied from the original. He said his price would be comparable to pelican but your saving on the postage etc.

If anyone is interested heres his website address

Engine Yolk P201

Post by jtparr »

Steve

rang the guy today, seems pretty friendly
he's having them machined/ painted up at the moment so needs about a week or so to call back with a price

His standard type is machined to fit into a W 313H engine stand (hope I got that right !) which means they are 60mm outer diameter, but can have them machined to other sizes if required

I’ll post a price when he calls me back

Regards

Jonathan

I am going to buy one, but have it made with a longer neck so I can use it in a stand I already have.

I will try and post some pics when I have it

HI i now have price for the engine tool P201, now MBE 201, std size is £305 + painting (modified size extra for material used)
201 will fit porsche engines from 356 through to 993 air cooled, also gearbox's 356 through to G50, a bit over the top but all the VW aircooled engines/boxes as well
engine stand to bolt to floor £130+ paint (if you have a welder flat packed £110)
holder VW313 is £140 +VAT (looking into making them)
base to put the engine stand on to £50 (not bolted to floor)

P201 from PC £@580+vat=£681.50
P201 from PP £202+import+vat = app'£357.35

i am thinking of renting out the kit of bits for the strip/rebuild of your engine (stand, tools, etc) if
any one is intrested in hiring at a fee+deposit, let me know, Email mb.engineering@btconnect.com

regards mike

Here is a pic of one I bought from Mike a few weeks ago. It works great and is very well made. Now I can start to rebuild my 2.2S motor.

Thanks

Alan
