Overview of the post title - a running 928 engine (first time in x years)
3 shots showing some of the detail in a weight loss programme : One of the passenger (rear) seat belt mounting / reinforcement points. Porsche had cleverly extended another mounting point to incorporate this .... it is not required . Removal is not a 15 minute job !! (weight is probably about 200 to 250 grammes)
2 general shots - one overview (bit of rear floor cut out for re-engineering of where fuel tank will go (long story) , and the other showing rear of engine bay ... am in the process of removing small brackets / clips. Just cutting off the excess is NOT good enough ..... all of spot weld remains have to be ground off.
As you can see - most of the underseal is now off it ............. at last count it was 18kg and rising.
'nuff for now (Clive and Brendan have their snaps !!)
Royal Enfield .. still in India
GL 1800 Tour DCT, for pleasure / Fantic 240 Professional - play
Rally 911 (1966) build parked for a while
Rally 928 (work started again - inc serious weight loss programe !)
.... and now another VW Up GTI owner.

Lots of work done (most of it in last 6 months of 2021) - will maybe take some more snaps and post them here. Difficult to see the work that goes into it. Some stuff that sounds easy .... like organising to fit twin master cylinders for a balance bar type braking system .... turns out not to be a 2 day job !. (what pedal ratio should I be using , as one can't easily change the pivot point .... the centre line of the cylinders has to go up .... towards pivot , then we start to run out of space for the fluid reservoirs , etc etc).
Anyways , most of this is behind me now - there is about a week of work left to do , before the shell is ready to be shipped off to get a cage welded in , then it's paint , and then start the nice bit ! Plan is to be competing in it this year - see if I still enjoy it and can still drive .... then start thinking about Targa Tasmania !!!

thanks for asking
