Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......
Clive asked me to put this up for him - he can’t get his Tapatalk to work.
He’s just finished running this 7 day, 70 car 2600 Klms Porsche Club tour of the Wild Atlantic Way. And understandably he’s knackered!
Amazing backdrop..

It's an old photo Mark - I was going through my Flickr account deleting pictures that no longer need to be hosted & came across this forgotten photo.
It's the 2.5 litre short-stroke twin-plug engine I put in my 904 replica ...

I wasn't fortunate enough to ever see your 904 project. Where did the car end up, UK or abroad?

Your Porsche pic of the day......
Amazing project, one of the very best of the DDK efforts in fact.
After Andy was mad enough to let it go, it ended up here for a while, getting that engine rebuilt, as the next owner was not as respectful as Andy.
Illustrious company to keep while you are in the hospital though…

Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......
It's still in the UK - it was bought by a guy to practise in - he'd recently bought the ex-Dickie Stoop 904 ('You 4') - as he didn't want to risk 'learning' in his vastly more expensive original.MarkIII wrote:I wasn't fortunate enough to ever see your 904 project. It turned out to be a sensible idea as, in the heat of the moment whilst on track, he wrong-slotted a gear (!!) & over-revved the engine.
The engine was safe to ~8k but ...

What did you use as the base for that car? Or was it built from scratch?Lightweight_911 wrote:.

1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.
