My 1970 2.2T only has an oil warning light and no gauge. I think the sender for that's near the front of the engine with the green and red cable shown in the second of these photos:

If I wanted an oil gauge just to monitor overall engine health and prevent damage - what type would you recommend and where would I install it?
In the first of the two photos I think we see the oil temperature sender and a pressurised oil hose. From what I can make out from photos of that area on other cars on t'internet, many senders must be an inline design that goes between that hose and the engine, right? So I guess I can insert one there?
I'm considering three options - a one off in-bay gauge that I can plug in to get a reading as and when - a permanent in-bay gauge, or a sender that goes through to the dash and adding a dial on the dash somewhere. I'm not keen on compromising the originality of the too much so I wouldn't want to lose any of the original dials unless absolutely necessary.
Where would you install it and what sender and dial would you recommend?
How would you recommend installing a2.2T oil pressure gauge?

1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.
