Removing oil from garage floor suggestions
Morning all,
Annoyingly I’ve been kicked out of my parking underground space due to the owner selling up - before I hand the space over I feel it’s only right I attempt to remove some oil from the floor - are there are tried and tested methods? Suggestions gratefully received....
Thanks,
Simon

Painted floor or raw concrete?
Any car shop will sell you a bottle of oil stain remover.
I used to use Gunk, but I think there are many more.
Some need a water wash which will be awkward maybe, so read the tin.

Carburettor cleaner works quite well, as well as cat litter, as well as this stuff, but make sure its well ventilated!

Best of the lot is good old-fashioned sawdust. Most sawmills/carpentry shops would be delighted to give you a van load!
Sprinkle it over, leave for a few minutes, work it in with a stiff brush, clear up, bag it and bin it.
I don't know of anything that will clear the stains out of concrete, but that will shift all the surface oil quickly and simply.

Tri-sodium phosphate, mixed with boiling water. Pour it on, let it dry back to crystals, then brush it off.
Works really well.
