3.0 Engine - refurbished warm up regulator or buy new?
Asking on behalf of somebody.
They have a 911 with an 81 engine, 3L in it.
They need a new Warm Up Regulator- part no Bosch 0438140089
They've asked me if such things can be refurbished and if so by who? Or should you go new - not cheap of course.
Or does anyone have one.
Any advice appreciated

Ah Andy beat me to it
Kmi are the people
You can get a WUR from various cars like a granada, capri or sierra I think and KMI will set it up for the particular car.
I seem to remember talking to them and then they pointed me to an item on eBay which I bought and they set it up for me although to be fair I never used it as it never seemed worth it in the end so I still have it.

There is an Australian company that my neighbour has just bought one from, seemed to be a good product and tech support. If you want the details I will get them today? His car is an 89 Turbo.

I think they're going to go down the refurbished route and speak to KMI - thanks for the replies guys

He might also consider making it adjustable. There is some detail on Pelican and it’s an easy mod

I might have a spare one and the parts to make adjustable are available via Oz at fraction of price?

What’s the problem with it? I adjusted mine recently (same part number) and it was pretty straightforward. If the bi-metallic electrical element is in spec there isn’t much else to go wrong.

Not sure
They said it wasn’t starting from cold that’s all I know - can ask
