I’d go with a specialist Porsche place as there are various finishes on various bits, a good specialist will know what’s right for your car.

1969 911T Coupe window frames were anodised.

Targa models still utilised chromed frames with opening qtr lights up to '73

.

Chromed frames on Targas up until ‘76 when the opening qtr was dropped.

Likewise the trims under the rear window on a targa are chromed.

Pretty sure my 70T frames were originally polished aluminium and then bright anodised. I don't see any special Porsche finishes on them unless I'm missing something. I am also planning to get mine done over the winter and was going to take them to the same polisher / plater who a friend of mine uses through his business.

Although I have no experience with the re-anodizing of door frames, I can recommend this paint stripper: Colour-Ex

It is alcohol-based, non-hazardous and is really easy to apply (no affiliation, btw)

Obviously, the thinner the paint coats the easier it works. I went through a couple of buckets of it during my LWB restauration with great results (front hood, rear lid, all types of parts with overspray, e.g. the anodized door frames). Only limitation I noticed are certain types of plastics (e.g. steering column plastic housing and knee pads) that did not like the treatment. Try in a hidden spot, as they say....
