Re: Some weekend Guitar
He's my nephew – Tris showed an interest at about 14, from what I gather, and went on to become runner-up in the Young Guitarist of the Year competition where one of the judges, a certain Gordon Giltrap, was more impressed with him than the winner, so took him under his wing. Since then, he's gone on to become one of the most respected 'finger style' acoustic guitarists in the UK, and beyond, and has played many solo performances as well as with many of the greats of the folk and guitar world. His guitar is a custom-made Fylde by Roger Bucknall. Wonderful piece of kit... https://www.fyldeguitars.com/Tosh wrote:Did you have to nag the crap out of him to practice as a kid?

The right fingers will make most cheap guitars sound great. He continues to develop fabulous skill Keith.
Only though Hugh and I 'did' this little thread!

Mind you, his 'cheap' guitar is around £4000-worth...

Yes, and really shows the global talent around!
Maybe again in contrast, Marcus King with a voice and guitar to impress!

Not to miss Billy Strings either.

Re: Some weekend Guitar
Thanks for that - superb (made me dig out my copy of this to listen to the original):

- the follow-on version of 'All along the Watchtower' is brilliant too:
