in the final phases of finishing resto of 72S.
During final suspension set up, i have learned i have a bent trailing arm from a prior kerbing.
Can they be straightened and if so, who can do this?
thanks
Andrew

Re: Bent trailing arm
Not at all sure, but I think Tuthill's have a jig to straighten their rally car suspension parts.

Re: Bent trailing arm
Hi Andrew
Sorry I don't have a solution, just a question - how did you determine that the existing (original steel?) arm was bent? Obviously I'm assuming it's not a major contact you (or PO) had, and therefore patently obvious?
I suspect my aluminium replacement (I'm planning to upgrade the exiting steel arms on my 1972 hot rod) arms may not be 100%, and of course I don't have a jig to determine with absolute accuracy?
Many thanks

I'm fairly sure that Chris Flavell (fetuhoe on DDK) at Fenn Lane Motorsport has a jig & facilities to straighten steel arms ...

As mentioned above, Tuthills have a jig and offer this service.

Re: Bent trailing arm
thanks all for the pointers.
Magnus, it was not discovered until all bolted up and the rear suspension geometry could not be adjusted correctly. The assumption is therefore that the arm is bent given i know there are no issues with the shell.
