Child Seats - recommendations and fitting tips?!
Hello DDK members,
It's been a long time since I posted, and having returned to the UK after many years of living in Asia, life has moved on somewhat, including now having a child (20 months old).
I'd love to get my 1973 911T out more regularly, and hence wondering if anyone has any recommendations for child seats, and probably more importantly, if they do, how to go about fixing it in the back?!
Is it even possible?
Cheers,
Scott.

Can’t remember the exact model etc , but think I used a Brit ax in the rear of my 2.4 .... fitted no problem at all . This was a full child seat. Have a search of the forum.
When the kids got older there were a few options for booster seats

Re: Child Seats - recommendations and fitting tips?!
Maxi Cosi Rodi was the forward facing seat of choice that fits in the back. Only works with three point belts though (or four point!)
The old school Porsche Prince seat fits with a lap belt only but personally I wouldn’t recommend it as the upper body restraint is just them hitting the padded table in front of them.

Re: Child Seats - recommendations and fitting tips?!
Probably ancient history by now, my kids are now too big to even get in the back!
Re: Child Seats - recommendations and fitting tips?!
Thanks James and Gary, still seems that seat is available, my only issue is that I only have the original two point lap belts. Did you modify and fit the three point belts in?

I fitted 3 point belts. You can use the ones from a 993 mounted to the rear shelf with a spreader plate underneath. I wouldn’t put the kids in back with just 2 points

You might find that your 73 car already has the fixing points for three point belts.
My 72 LHD car (French delivery) did and I simply had three pointers from Quickfit installed.

You are after a Britax Elite here: https://tonykealys.co.uk/car-seats/exte ... VAQAvD_BwE
They work with lap belts and have a very narrow base to fit in the rear. Searched for ages to find these. I have twins (2yrs old) so fit two of them in the back, I use the standard belts but I have also fitted a top lash into the parcel shelf for peace of mind, though according to these seats, you don't need them...
