One man's (actually 2 men's) attempt to prove to Colin Chapman that the Eleven & Elite could be improved upon in virtually ever area ...

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

I’ve borrowed this for the weekend to try something a little different from my usual Crewe based motors.
Summary: I don’t like it.

Looks spectacular, but interior looks out of place in a 50k car let alone a 250k car. Also no traction to speak of and incredibly nervous on a wet road. Looks spectacular though

It’s a badge referencing back to the DB4/5/6 era construction by Carrozzeria Touring ‘Superleggera’ which is ‘Superlight’

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
Is that the V12 or the Merc V8 version? I understand the V8 is more of a drivers car

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
Way too much - other than top trumps and knob waving that much power serves no purpose

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
Correct. Particularly in this weather it can’t deploy more than about 200 of the 715 without lighting the rear wheels

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
D974 to Dijon. D971 from Dijon through Chatillon to Troyes. D619/D951 to Sezanne and Epernay. No phone/sat nav. I jotted those instructions down on a bit of paper the night before and winged it. Old skool
Left Beaune at 5.30 and first time I had to slow for any traffic was just outside Epernay - worth the early start and I was thinking they were more enjoyable than the Napoleon which I've done twice. Think I can expect a speeding ticket from a camera just outside Troyes though
Motorway from Reims...
