Took advantage of the beautiful weather & went for extended blasts in my Seven & Spider ... 8)

Amazing how different they are - particularly noticeable when jumping from one to the other.

The Seven (Climax FWB engine) is feather light & it reacts instantly to the slightest touches - it's an over-used cliché but you really can almost just 'think' it round corners.

By comparison the Alfa's steering feels really heavy but you soon adjust to it & only then notice it significantly when manoeuvering slowly. The car encourages a different driving approach - it's forte seems to much more fast/relaxed touring - which is exactly the reason I bought it ...

Nice all round!

I have driven a tweeked Caterham (K series engine) around a sprint course once, after my Impreza driven in anger on the same day, it was a remarkable experience.
Drove the 911 and the Boxster back to back today, another eye opener.
Parked next to a topless Merc SL, about 1986 and pondered if I would rather have the Merc over the 911....

There was an SL at the recent NEC show, a special 'Sportline' from the SL Shop, touch lowered and lovely wider Merc wheels, it was the only car there the wife fancied.

When my Sprint Veloce is finished Andy - would be really interested on your opinion as to how it drives compared to how you remember them...
