We had a Pagoda weekend in the Verdon gorge area. I just got back after 1700 faultless miles (Wed-Mon). 32 Pagodas (2 crashes (EEK!)), from Finland & Sweden down to Italy & Czech Republic. Too much veal and red wine...

Lovely cars, on my list but I’ve too many already. Did you enjoy driving it?

Meanwhile the daughter took a flight in a Tiger Moth, but chickened out of a loop.

She really enjoyed it, so £200 well spent.

Yup, had a bimble up Ventoux before heading cross country to (just south of) Castellane. Saw no cyclists beyond Reynard, but did see a runner about 300m from the top :clown:

Ashley, yes, I always do. This weekend it's been up mountains at various speeds on narrow hairpinned roads through to sitting on the Autoroute at 4am today at 90mph without issue. A bit noisy as it's not the most aero of cars and the engine is at nearly 4500rpm/90mph. Nothing some in-ear bluetooth headphones and a podcast won't cure... Other than two early morning starts and a torrential downpour (meaning I was at <30mph on an empty autoroute trying to see the next "bande" alongside the hardshoulder), top down all the time.

This is my Dad in 1948 (aged 14). Also a Moth, i think...

Great photo! Thanks.
Most older cars are undergeared by modern standards. My old Boxster even did 25mph per 1000rpm and my new one almost 40mph at the same revs.

I always thought that too many late 50's / early 60's British sports cars seemed a bit agricultural to drive, but
this could be fun on a summers day ?
