Why not drive out and meet us at the end/beginning or maybe we can find a space in somebody's car?
Good idea, I'll keep my eye out for next years event ;)

Glad to hear that Danny. The film of this year’s will be out very soon.....
By the way, any chance you can enter this fab pic for next year’s calendar? The old tub hasn’t been on it for a few years...

I was thinking too that one of Danny's pictures should be in the calender!

PS if everybody would like drop me a pm to give me feedback on the flat four drive!

I think that having only a single drive, not two, was better. Danny found us a very good starting point. Part of the fun of these drives has been visiting cool new places.

This time Jakki/I didn't get lost and didn't have to do any u-turns (although we didn't stick to the route that I published). Next year I will go out and practice the route ahead of time as I wasn't happy with one of the roads we turned onto. It seemed to be the busiest single track road, with lots of blind corners, in the UK (and of course we also got caught in the queue for the local dump!). Also practicing the route will save my sanity. There can be quite a lot of stress in the lead car. Mostly over the crap direction given by google maps. There was a mixture of following the directions, setting google to navigate to the next town and guessing :)

At about 10-13 cars I think we are about at the limit with that we can expect to keep together. If we get more next year we may have to split. Although it would be great to see more cars. Particularly 914s and 356s.

I can only apologise about screw up at the Tunnel House Inn. As stated I emailed pre orders and called to confirm but they ignored me! I will find somewhere more reliable next year. I think it was a good finishing location (with a bit of Rally Cross included) and we eventually had a room to ourselves. The food was good too (once it arrived).

I liked having more time at the start to have a coffee or snack. However, next year I think we need to sit down to eat by 1:30pm to give those, that have traveled further, time to get home.

All in I think the format is about right.
