Radwinter Air-Cooled Late Summer DDK Gathering

Post by paul911 »

Hi All

As per my previous post I am organising a late summer DDK social Gathering on the 29th & 30th of September in the Midlands. We deliberately chose the location to be as fair as possible to all in terms of travelling and it also includes an option for some driver skills training at the Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground. There are 7 car places up for grabs to DDK'ers with up to 2 people sharing a car. With only 5 cars on track at any one time each and a qualified instructor including Ben Barker in each car it will provide the opportunity for participants to learn more about their cars capabilities and improve their driving skills, Bruntingthorpe is a very safe environment with plenty of run off space ideally suited to both the novice and the more experienced

The event will be what it say's, very much a DDK social event, we encourage WaG's to attend, meet with friends new and old and share in the passion for the cars that we love whilst eating, drinking, listening to music and raising some worthy funds for the DDK Macmillan charity fund. All details are provided in the attached flyer please support it if feel you can, the entry will be by T shirt not ticket, the T's are detailed in one of the early colours of Aubergine please PM me if you wish to come and give me your Name & Address and your T shirt size, the cost is £25.00 per person which includes a £10.00 donation to Macmillan.

If you wish to register for the Driver Skills element (1 x car £150.00) or (2 sharing a car at £75.00 each) then please request this when ordering your T Shirt. It is not a profit making event, traders are welcome to attend but there won't be trade stands, may I suggest bringing your business cards and starting a conversation instead.

You can book your pitch directly at the campsite http://www.barfordtopcampsite.co.uk/where the evening will begin from 6pm with food available, beer & music

Breakfast is available at the campsite Sunday morning followed by a swap meet so bring your spares to trade, this is followed by a drive out through the local countryside led by Danny onto a local pub for lunch.

I do hope that you can join us
Paul

I'm completely lost now! Any help deciphering that msg greatly appreciated.

My PM to Paul is still in Outbox - perhaps he's away at mo. Anyone else been successful in obtaining T's ?

Hi Everyone

Apologies for the slow response, it's been a very busy few weeks!

The T Shirts are available from now so PM me or email me if you wish to attend.

We initially had 15 available car places for the driving tuition, 9 have been allocated so there are now 6 places left.

Please book your stay at the campsite directly with them at www.barfordtopcampsite.co.uk

Food and drink for the social evening will be available from 18.00 on Saturday

Please bring with you any Porsche parts that you wish to trade and a tarpaulin to put them out on

If you need any further details please contact me on 07712199282 or e mail paul.heales100@gmail.com

Cheers
Paul

Hey Everyone

We have changed the camping venue to this place as it suits us better;

Brook Meadow Campsite
Welford Road
Sibbertoft
Market Harborough
Leicestershire
LE16 9UJ

We will be there from 6 ish on Saturday evening for beers and food, those attending the driver skills element should arrive at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground for 12.00

Anyone wanting to just do the drive out to a pub on the Sunday can just turn up at the campsite before 11.00

Cheers
Paul
