Jonathan, I hope Mervyn can cope with the engine being at the wrong end of the car.
We have the rival to the M Type, is an Austin 7 Mulliner Sports, it still has the original timbers in the boat tail It’s been in the family since 1965.

I guess he'll manage! He has the 1955 and 2000 VW Beetle rally cars, Autotest Beach Buggy, 1946 MG TC and Porsche 924 to play with as well, so has a good selection of different layouts.
The M Type came with a 1172 Ford side-valve that he intends to keep since it annoys the MG purists so much.
It won't be a garage queen, he intends to trial it!
Very pretty Austin 7 Mike, great to have something like that with a long family history.
