Looks great, super subtle. I like the red 928 too. I’ll take them both, thanks :-)

Hope not - I've spent quite a lot of money on it recently !

I decided to sell some of my cars as I never use them, so initially the 356 and 928 and will probably give them my 911, Alfa SZ, Golf Rallye and Datsun 240Z as well. I seem to have got up to ten cars without really trying and they're stored all over the place, flat batteries when I come to use them etc. First world problems I suppose and a problem I never thought I'd have when I bought my first car, a Morris Motor for fifteen quid some years ago ! So trying to get down to four or five cars and maybe buy a supercar of some sort, McLaren etc ( maybe )

Cool car. Hope it stays in the DDK fold.
What's the one car you'd never sell (if any)?

Probably my Lotus Elise SC 220 - absolutely love it - great fun, fantastic roadholding - been over the Alps in an Elise a few times. Or my 1971 Fiat 500, just being rebuilt to full Abarth spec and - 37bhp !. Or as I'm into hot hatches my Audi A1 Quattro ( six in the UK ) 323bhp and four wheel drive .... or.. or...or .... !!!

I did speak to another couple of "more classic" dealers, but they were hard work, unreturned calls, wouldn't collect etc, etc one was just plain rude. If it's that hard work before they've got my cars it was going to be even harder work later on !

I've known John at Specialist cars for a long time and over the years I've probably sold fifteen cars through them. Never had any issues, cars are always presented well, comprehensively advertised and previously he's taken some part exchanges and arranged finance for people buying my cars as well as offering a warranty. ( funnily enough I've only ever bought one car from them, a 964 RS some years ago).I have absolutely no issues with paying someone to sell on my behalf. Plus now I'm feeling better after my illness last year and getting back into my cycling, I'd rather go cycling on a Sunday than advertise my cars privately and have to wait around for some tyre kickers who often don't even turn up, even after they've called to make an arrangement to view !

Out of interest who would you have suggested using ?

That's a lovely fleet, Golf Rallye? Now there's a car from my youth, I still kick myself for missing one on a local (general) car sale forecourt years ago. :(

I too have known John for years and have always got on with him fine, the only time I sold a car through him didn't go quite as great but those were different times.
