Hi
Is it vital that when fitting new pressure fed tensioners to submerge them in oil to purge any air by pumping manually before installation
or should they be self priming on engine start up?

I don't have pressure fed .. But I'd have thought you want to get any air out before starting just to ensure they're doing their job from 1st fire up and not giving any risk of the chains jumping
