Keep the Faith Morning? 8th Oct 11-1pm

At the Flat 4 drive we were chatting about past masters who had helped us keep our cars on the road. Hugo shared stories of Eric S who would keep telling you stories until 1am but the car came back running perfectly. Chris T was kind enough to help me a number of times. It got me thinking that I could organise something similar. Unfortunately, I'm no master but I have some tools and a willingness to help so I'm opening up my garage/home for anybody that wants to come and work on their car with someone else on Sunday 8th Oct between 11-1pm (NN11 postcode). I would like to try to turn it into a regular event. Maybe we can meet and help others get a boost who are trying to get their cars back on the road but lets see the what the interest is. Anybody is welcome but I've only worked on 356/912s. PM me if you are interested and I will give me my number and address.

I hope the 'KTFM' went off well and it just got me thinking us 356 ers should do something like our American cousins, the 356 Registry do. Whereas on 16th September they have there drive your 356 day where their members cruise off in their nut and bolt perfect roadsters and four cam coupes down the PCH to Big Sur on a perfect blue sky California morning, then take a perfect picture with the azure Pacific in the background, then post it off to the registry for publication in their magazine.
We should have a take a photo of yourself 'working on your 356 day'. So we'll get lots of pics of 356's up on axle stands outside the row of lockups with a pair of grubby overall covered legs poking out the back. And cheery faces covered in Castrol LM after some over exuberant greasing of the front suspension. I think we could get some classic photographs there, and then bung 'em all on DDK for a good laugh. What do you think?
