Alignment of silencer mounting flanges?

Post by mean_in_green »

On a 3.0 SC with SSIs, should both the exchanger to silencer flanges be on the same imaginary horizontal line, or would you expect them to be at different heights?

Was looking at a silencer this week, it's flanges are at different heights - I thought they should be the same...

Both must be true and square, if they are sloping or even slightly twisted the manifolds have been grounded or the car jacked up on the silencer, but all should be true and square.
