I'm not confident that my car will be ready, but if it is I'll be game.

Its only 3 hrs from the M1/M25 to York so all you Londoners should get going. 8)

we are 'getting there' with the numbers.

We need 15 people, so could do with some more DDK'ers :)

Hmmm, seems like folly having only just bought the car, but I never got round to doing a track day in my last one, and it's been about 1 1/2 years since I got my Group B licence, so I am sorely tempted...

Slight problem of a party the night before, but might have to see how I can get round that...

Your 3 hours from London idea - how fast do I have to go to do it in that? Bit scary thinking about the fuel costs for the day too...

What kind of committment do you need?

I will need full commitment pretty soon and a cheque too :)

The trackday will be a lot more fun than a party ;)

Places are starting to be filled :)

But I could do with some more DDK'ers joining in the fun 8)

Anyone else interested in a fun day out ?

Come on people, this is serously good fun. What better place to try out your cars performance. Elvington is huge, there is nothing to hit, the runways are wide enough to use as an emergency landing strip for the space shuttle
Handling course sounds interesting too :)
I'm driving up from Leicester early in the morning, someone could always sleep on our floor...

I'm up for it... Just persuaded my misses to come, and we're going to aim to stay with mates in Leeds on the Saturday night.

Right - what do I need to do? (Apart from hope it's damp so that we can have fun and get the cars out of shape without damaging all my new suspension (I always seem to break things on my car on dry trackdays))

Preparation ? Well I've started by inspecting the floor pan with an angle grinder !! I think My Targa won't make it to Elvington
Somehow i don't think I'll get a new floor in there by the 20th.
Any chance I can bring the MX5 ? :?:
I'll promise to be sideways at least as much as the 911s ok ?

Cheers
Tim (Very fed up :( but optimistic that the car will live again :) )

MX5 welcome Tim :) I had an MX5 on my tail @ Cadwell & I was very impressed with its pace. Mind you I gather the driver had done about 20 trackdays & I was stumbling along on my 1st

A 'Northern' DDK'er has very kindly offered this :

If it helps anyone make up their minds about the Northern trackday, I can accommodate a few people (say 2 or 3 - or more on the floor!). No charge of course BUT no culinary skills! Two local pubs, one of which serves (average) grub.

Only 25 minutes/20 miles from Elvington, just right to get everything warmed through.

C'mon guys - only a few more needed to complete the (limited) numbers

Are there any more DDK'ers wanting to come along. This will be a superb day to 'pop your trackday cherry' :)
