914 Targa vinyl trim

Hi,

Can anyone help with advice on the fitting of the vinyl covering for the targa bar. I believe that the material at the rear edge of the targa bar has to be cut into the corner at the bottom of the short vertical section so that the silver trim section can clip directly to the painted surface. Does the same apply at the front edge of the targa bar where the moulded section of padded trim fastens to the front edge of the targa bar, or is the vinyl intended to fit inside this moulded section at this point? If I cut the vinyl at this point how do I avoid the paint colour showing? I dont really want to get this part wrong as it could look awful and be right pig to put right.

Does anyone have any photos of this being done or is there a thread on this topic?

Any help or advice on sticking this vinyl back on would be much appreciated as I am not looking forward to this process at all!!

I did mine a few weeks ago. Ive not added any chrome yet, just the targa pad bar.

Would any pics help or are you ok now?
