Weber rebuild
Could anyone recommend a place to get my 46 IDA Webers checked and or rebuilt?
Cheers.

Re: Weber rebuild
Chris Flavell at Fenn Lane Motorsport in Nuneaton is one option.
Chris is 'fetuhoe' on DDK

Re: Weber rebuild
Nice looking set of carbs!
How do you get alloy and associated parts that are not being replaced so clean? Ultrasonic bath?

Re: Weber rebuild
Vapour blasting followed by ultrasonic is the route I took on my Zeniths.
Re: Weber rebuild
No, an ultrasonic cleaner will only remove dirt not stains and doesn't re-surface.
We remove all of the gallery plugs, vapour blast and then ultrasonically clean.
We have an Abrasive Developments 'Juno' Aqua Blaster which we purchased around 2 years ago.
We 'rod' through all of the galleries and then re-plug.
We vibratory clean all of the steel parts and re-plate.
We have our own gaskets made from Klinger materials and also re-manufacture springs and some of the thin copper washers.
We make accelerator pump diaphragms from Contiflex material that is Ethanol Resistant and have all of our O Rings made from Viton F.
We also make a few optional modifications to reduce percolation and to improve progression when carbs are being used on non-standard engines.
