Been far too long since my last post and I'll attempt to update with progress more often in future.
Bit the bullet and ordered an OE Porsche rear wing: At 1200 Euros was not cheap. Standing forthwith an angle grinder focuses the mind as you can imagine. So nice and slowly we went....

Can only recomend the OE part. Have drawn some templates from the other original side and the profile is 99% the same, which for parts produced close to 30 years apart, is fantastic. If anyone else is consiering the same job, I'd recommend cutting a template for the rear window as it gives a great datum to work from.
Have also mounted the remote oil filter and will get an image up tomorrow.
Chassis wise - I can see some light at the end of the tunnel.
