Looks like a great upgrade Mark - hopefully you'll resolve the rear caliper issue soon too ...

2.2 T fully rebuilt, barrels and pistons and so on. All ancillaries replaced with new. Carbs rebuilt. Not the biggest of engines but a nice jump from a 1.7 I'm sure

The German TUV are pretty strict on what you can and can not do to keep it with Historic number plates.
So this was always the plan to do a conversion. But I guess it's the second half of the restoration. When we did all the metal work a few years ago we added all the chassis strengthen plates and sills,etc. The next stage I guess about a year ago was to convert it too five stud as too upgrade the brakes. (Which is a on going saga !) Safety first!
Now I guess the real work starts !!

That looks a worthwhile upgrade. Can you modify the 914 rev counter or will you fit a new one ?

I bought an old second hand one from a 911 a few months ago.

Well busy busy the last few evenings and today

Found some scary wiring in the loom, chasing back some wires as I'm doing away with the relay board in the engine compartment .

Fitted the new oil tank. (Well mocked it up to see how well it fits, it will come out again next week to paint the engine compartment) And done away with relay board brackets and a few other tabs I won't need.

New engine mount is in plus new throttle and clutch cable and stainless steel fuel lines.

Although temporary! Just to measure up for oil lines, wiring harness and couple of other bits like to figure out the plumbing route.
