You've all heard of the SL - now introducing the SLC. Mercedes rallied it back in the 70's with success (believe it or not). Think of an SL with a longer wheelbase and hardtop - it drives better and looks uglier. The one you really want (if at all) is the 500SLC - it was slightly lighter and had some sporty touches. Anyway perhaps because of their marmite looks they've been systematically crushed in this country to the point of extinction. Love them or hate them - I found a decent one and thought what the hey...
This one has been pampered all its life (since 1979) and has only done 80k kms or 49.7k miles from new with a full service history - last serviced 200kms ago. Its 4.5l v8 still smooth as silk.
Interior is blue leather and presents well - they don't make them like this anymore!
I've imported it from Japan for a quick sale - ended up MOT'ing it, registering it and enjoying it... but I should really sell it. It needs to be re-undersealed and there are some signs of rust coming through in places. Wouldn't take much to be perfect again (he says, but no really), you'll just have to check it out for yourself to be satisfied.
