Keys,

I have just bought a ( very nice ) late 88 3.2. There is however only one key + even that is shot. anyone know of a good contact for new keys ?

Porsche will supply new keys cut to suit your car, there is not much point getting copies of worn keys.

I am sure there was a thread on here recently about that - £27 comes to mind so compared to what you will have paid for the car it's a small price.

Pretty sure it is chassis number however it relies on the locks not having been changed.

That figures- how would you know if they had been changed- any way of checking?

Not fail safe but if you use the same key for both doors, glove box and ignition then probably original. As I understand it, if people had problems they often just replaced one lock rather than a full set.

Someone with more knowledge than me can suggest how to turn the key number as listed by the factory (example C1380) into the numbers in the tumbler pins that fit in the barrel which have 5 pins and 5 options per pin.
