Just idly thinking about wheels for a 911. I cant work out whether something like like this would look totally out of place or not...anyone running anything similar?

It takes a brave man to run anything but Fuchs on a 911!

i bought a set of fuch's replicas/copies from Image built as a three piece split rim - got them as 9x15 and 11x15. Very happy with them. Image are well priced, do a decent job but can be a little slow - quoted me 5 weeks and took 8 - not bad I suppose. Sorry not the best pic but you'll get the idea below.

IMO there are very few non-original wheels that suit early 911's - especially non-flared models - (one of the exceptions being Campagnolos or replicas like on Russ' car).

I personally don't think the ones in your first post would look 'right' ...

What I really like about the Image wheels is that the centres are forged and they are as light (if not lighter) than fuchs.

Are you sure they are forged and not cast?
Many of their centres are CNC machined.

I stand to be corrected.

To be honest I'm not hundred percent sure what they mean when they say 'Wheel centres C.N.C machined from high quality forged prime heat treated alloy. rim sections flow formed from prime alloy.'
Do they take a block of forged metal then cut it out with a CNC machine? My assumption is the Fuchs were forged to shape as it were? Does that make sense?
