Dougal - you're treading the line between 'gaining information for your site' and commercial postings.

As I posted on one of your other threads....

"Dougal. You're very welcome on DDK and your knowledge of tyres will (I am sure) be a great help to our members.

Best to be upfront though rather than adopting a clandestine strategy.

DDK users are a smart bunch and you'll get a much better reception if you introduce yourself and mention where you are from.

Of course if you do want to advertise Longstone to the membership you can ask me (as outlined in my previous email to you when you registered on the forum) about our traders package."

Bootsy I think you are too generous. I see black tyre marks across the line and on the other side of the road!

Funny you should say that!

Fitted by event tyres for £85 less per wheel (and they come to you)

Are you sure that's for a CN36, not a P6000?

Does look like its for the p6000

What are the vredestein sprint classic like? They seem very cheap in comparison to the other 185/70's that are available, and I need tyres soon :(

The Vredestein Sprint Classic is a control tyre in one of the classic Jaguar race series, apparently they last a long time and are quite entertaining.

I had Vredestein Sprint Classics on the 911. They suited my style of driving perfectly well. :)

I have the Verdensteins on my 2.4S. Very suitable from a performance point of view in that you feel them going long before they let go. The look very period looking and are not too expensive. They are only HR rated though so some 10 mph under rated for the S, I just ease off the throttle. I suppose they can best be described as a tyre for classic runs, everyday driving and good days. Not sure about the track.

Seriously; is it really all about price.

Yes the Vredestein is cheaper than the CN36. But the Pirelli is a genuine original equipment tyre made by one of the worlds best tyre manufacturers with a V speed rating. https://www.borrani.com/en/pirelli-tyre ... urato.html which is why Porsche fitted them. from all the other forums i have been on it seems the CN36 and the XWX were the best. I would suggest they still are.

And they look cool
