Hole in the bulkhead...should it be there?
Spied a hole in the bulkhead this morning when checking up on progress of my resto.
I assume this was a hack for heater or something and is non-standard. Should I be getting this welded up or does something fit there?
Thanks....

It shouldn't be there. It's common on US cars though - would have carried dealer-installed air-con pipes to the smugglers box.
Proper nasty thing to do to a brand new Porsche!

Ahhh yep - I did take air con off the car so that must be it. Another job to be done then!

I have one of these holes as well but it is a lot smaller, lower down and has a nice plastic surround - actually looks OEM. My COA does say the car was ordered with aircon so it may be factory.

Porsche did a nicer job then - most of the aftermarket holes I've seen look like they were done with an air-chisel.

Welcome to the club !
My US 1973 T/E 2.4 has the same, currently being shut...
When I drive with heavy rain, the water comes in badly...
I'll try to work out to insert a picture...
