Bo'ness Hillclimb Revival 7/8th September

Post by jwhillracer »

We spent part of last Saturday night in the company of a delightful bunch of rogues, who turned out to be the Chairman and several members of the organising committee of the Bo'ness Hillclimb Revival. :drunken:
http://www.bonesshillclimb.org.uk/
As well as the Hillclimb, there are classic car displays, including one for 50 years of the 911, the Steam Railway will be in operation, and there will be a flying display (subject to weather) by a Spitfire and Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight on Sunday
As a result, we have entered our 914/6 for both days. It looks a great event for those that -
a/ don't want to go South to Hedingham (or are mad enough to drive all the way North from Somerset), or
b/ want to have a blast in their car rather than sit and polish it......

If any local DDK'rs are around, please come and say hello!

Cheers!

Never heard of the event but looks like it could be good. Doing the Glasgow - Edinburgh cycling ride on the Sunday but will try and make it on the Saturday (and maybe the Sunday as well).

Hi JW,

I dont see any mention of a 911 display on the website. Bo'ness is local to me and would like to come along in the car, do I just fill in the car show entry form?

Cheers

I'm sure that they said that they were putting something on for 50 years of 911, or it may just have been the alcohol.... :drunken:
If you contact either bill@bonesshillclimb.org.uk or alex@bonesshillclimb.org.uk , they are having a meeting with local Porsche people tomorrow (Thursday) night. I'm sure that you would be made welcome.

Cheers!

At the right point of the evening, catch Bill Drysdale when there are plenty of people around, and tell him that you know of a rather nice Porsche 903 for sale, would he know anyone who would be interested???? :bom:

Cheers! :drunken:

A non-Porsche pal called me to tell me about it, as we've both been to it before. He knew it was being sponsored by Porsche Edinburgh & Glasgow (911 @ 50) & yet this is the first forum to mention it......nothing on PCGB!

JW you have a serious amount of fun up there with my brethern.
Hopefully we can catch up real soon.
Barn nearly finished.
Subject to financial restraints we are trying to have a "barn topping off" wedding reception, and one year anniversary pissup, (Sorry---Party) in October. But this is by no means confirmed--YET. when it is I will post you.

Have fun playing in haggis land

Cheers

Ian - really good to chat this evening, see you soon!
Mike - I saw Trevor's name on the entry list, I had another Sebring Sprite parked next to me at Shelsley last week-end driven by Les Proctor. Very pretty little car!
It looks a super event, we're looking forward to the week-end.

Cheers!

Guess who is doing her first hill climb??

Motor sport license applied for, managing to borrow helmet, suit and gloves.

Looking forward to a leisurely wee drive up the hill.

Margaret and Kit

Hi Margaret,

Don't worry about stickers for the ignition, just a couple of pieces of tape with IGN OFF written on them and an arrow -
Image
see just left of the steering wheel.
Tow hook, just an arrow, again from tape.
Battery earth lead - wrap with yellow insulation tape to identify.
Great to hear that you are coming, get ready to enjoy yourself! :bounce:

Cheers!

JW

PS - Remember to make up a timing strut for the front of your car, otherwise you will not be timed.........
