HSCC June 1st - Snetterton

Post by Bootsy »

I had two reasons to visit. I wanted to see Steve's 356 Race Car and I needed to pick some parts up from Robert Barrie who was also racing.

A great mix of cars (both in the pits and the car parks) and track action.

A few pics snapped on my phone

We were only talking about this Ritchie King built Oval Beetle the other day on the non Porsche pic of the day thread. I was surprised to see it parked up. Looked as good as I remember. De seamed interior. Cool details and polished Ali deck lid.

That orange car definitely has a touch of Canford about it I think the owner lives down here in sunny Dorset .

BTW the orange Oval (ex-Ritchie King) is Mav's car, our crew chief. first outing in a while for the car, what a blast he had driving it up from London. period correct 356 engine, 356A front brakes, etc, etc. lovely bit of kit.

Credit where credit is due.....the orange 911 was assembled in the fine Canford workshops but the body repairs, engine build, suspension set up and subsequent development work were all done by the owner.
