Does nobody know THIS car?
All I know about this 914 is it is a ’73 1.7, first registered in the UK in October 1980.

It is still out there being used as it is taxed.

Not sure about those door mirrors attached to the quarter light glass!

Yes, they were selling the 914s under the name "West Coast Classics", I bought my first 914 there in 1990.
I made my choice from eleven 914s they had at that time.
My dad had his workshop next to them, I always remember the Beetles and 914s around the place throughout the 80s and early 90s. They had a black 916 for a while.

It doesn't... Just me suggesting if it was the present, we'd be digging out fax machines and making an offer for the 'rust free' 2.0 litres! ;-)

S'mine :)

Well - they're both mine, if you include the RC one on the dash of the big one.

The car is presently in my garage feeling a little neglected because I moved house last year and decorating won over driving last summer.

All that stands between it and the road are new / rebuilt calipers on the front and a sympathetic touch to the carbs and I'm hoping to be back making noise this summer.

Thanks for the reply... I believe there will be a gathering of 914's again at Tatton Park for VW North West in August....

I have a 914 in St Helens, my mate has two in Wigan and the next nearest is in Preston...
