Thanks Jason.

It must be hugely frustrating at the moment
But something will come along, patience is a virtue...

Edward
If you do read this and not bow out I hope it encourages you to keep posting because,......
I know all the guys on here making comments and they are not the types to give you a hard time with malice. I think we have seen over the last few years our obsession with these cars drift out of the ordinary man's grasp. I think a lot of the comments are born out of frustration. It wasn't that long ago that the choice of one's dream was finding a good car of whatever model but recently finding anything within budget has become difficult. This is especially true of previous owners who have sold their car (temporarily, or so they thought) at a value which now causes them dismay.
The very essence of DDK was originally to bring like minded ordinary lads (and lasses) together in a focus group where we could enjoy our passion and meet up occasionally with our cars and have fun. It was a rare thing to see a car at 50k then and everyone was in a (roughly) similar boat. The Market place discussion thread was born out of the fact that for sale threads were locked against comment we must not lose the willingness to post up comments about cars for sale or ones we know are on the market elsewhere. It's what keep us abreast of our passion. The comments do need to be fair and anything which is not is usually Tongue in cheek with most of us.
So Edward, don't think we are a bunch of whingers, we all love these cars and with dealer prices what they are (and remember, we probably know most of these cars from a past owners) it is not surprising that one or two long term DDKers can appear a little frustrated at not being able to get (back) on the ladder. I am quite sure non of this is personal, just comment.
Hope you keep posting.
Regards
Mike

Re: The £110k 2.4S
Thank you for that Mike. I don't usually use the forums and as you can see my name on here being my name I have nothing to hide.
It's probably best that I don't get drawn into defending my prices.
Anyway I am still here and I am buying and selling so please feel free to get in touch if I can do anything for anyone.
1 more thing - I am not on the property ladder as my money has one use, to buy cars!! It however does't annoy me that my friend have made a fortune on their properties.
Have a great weekend!!

"like minded ordinary lads"
There is nothing ordinary about the people on here There are many extra ordinary people doing amazing work on cars!!

Re: The £110k 2.4S
I know both cars as they were owned by a friend of mine in Florence, who loves to drive his cars on the nice hills of Tuscany.
