Is this the one you just sold or rerhaps I'm being slow and you are saying you wait ages for a bus and then 2 come along together?

nothing to do with me...just one I spotted!

if I didnt know better though I'd say one of the photos was outside canford classics

£4250 doesnt seem a huge sum for a rare 73 RHD targa...must make sense to someone with one / an existing project?

Hi, it is being sold by one of the lads that work here at Canford Classics as it is a resto that has stopped. Oddly enough the original RHD 73 Targa engine has just been fitted into the RHD 73 Targa that you sold Dan. So even though it is not the original motor what are the chances of that.

Thanks
Alan

uncanny!

well if I were that chap, I would snaffle this up, "swap" the chassis numbers over, and be matching number? with a handy pile of spares

should have done that myself, doh

If anyone is after a RHD 73 (one year only) targa then I have one coming up for sale. Unrestored, low miles, interesting history and in sensational condition.

Continuing the "what are the odds" theme, Alan did the PPI when I bought it.

And its now back up for sale at a lower price. Someone please save this one as I keep having daft thoughts about buying it myself to slowly restore despite not having the time to do so, space to keep it at home nor to money to throw at it.

Cheers

Thanks OP for bringing this to my attention :-) Mind you I was the first in on classic 911 ownership with a 74 2.4t in 1999. Oh yet another car I should have kept.

Not sure what to do with it yet. Might spend some time sourcing parts. The original engine might be a start!

How does speed yellow look? Matching pair 996 gt3 mk2 and 70's targa for sunny days.

Welcome squirejo,

I'm sure that Canfords can help with most parts other than the engine which IIRC was sold in Oct/Nov. My thoughts on this shell were to have Barry Carter restore the shell to as new, paint in original colour, cookie cutters just to be different, standard interior with my custom sports seats as I have a few to use up, uprated running gear with ARB's F+R and the piece de resistance, a twin plugged 2.4 or 2.7 E spec hi compression engine. We love a good resto thread. keep us updated with pics!!
