I think I can make out (3 or 8?) 76 on one of the pics above and a 74 on another' might be wrong though!

Date codes on the wheels are;

1 x 671
1 x 1171
2 x 376

Hope that helps, if you need photos of the codes let me know.

Once upon a time.......

a man moved into new neighbourhood. Within minutes of him arriving at his new home he walked straight into the local pub shouting at the top of his voice 'celebrity gnomes for sale' and left flyers on the tables showing his goods

The 'locals' ignored him even though a couple of them were quite interested in acquiring a celebrity gnome or two. Disgruntled the man left the pub and walked back to his new home muttering under his breathe that 'they didn't Know what they were missing blah blah blah' never to return to the quaint boozer.

The same week another guy moved into the neighbourhood. A day passed and then he popped into the local and sat down for a drink. After a few hours he commended the landlord on running such a friendly pub. 'Why thanks' said the landlord. Later that evening the landlord introduced him to some the locals who chatted, welcomed him to the area and pointed out the best place to get a large Kofte with chilli sauce and extra garlic mayonnaise at closing time. The man left the pub with a smile on his face feeling he had picked a great neighbourhood to move to.

A few days later he returned to the pub. A couple of guys waved and asked how he was settling in. The landlord thanked him for his repeat custom and wished him well.

After a few pints he asked the landlord if he would mind giving him a bit of advice.

'I make celebrity gnomes to earn a bit of pocket money. Any ideas where I may be able to sell any?'

'Funny you should ask' said the landlord. 'Bert, Mik Bangs and Betsy were asking about famous china characters just the other evening, let me introduce you to them' and with that he chatted to the three strange but welcoming characters who placed orders for a few gnomes.

'Thanks for the intro' the man said later to the landlord. 'My pleasure, if you'd like I can pop a flyer up on our notice board and why don't you pop along next Sunday when we have a table sale in the car park and display some of your plaster of Paris, painted garden talking points?'

The man again thanked the landlord, said goodbye to his new found friends who had become customers and went about his way with a smile on his face.
