Saturday pics from Beaulieu Autojumble

Post by richkaz »

If you are off to Beaulieu on Sunday, look away now.
Saturday was packed solid, with some interesting cars up for grabs.
Shame it's now illegal to use a car mascot as the museum was exhibiting this Lalique glass
lady ( would look good on my Mazda :P )

Saw three 356 replica's and all seem to be around the £ 15k mark.
The only 2 Porsche I could see up for sale was this 1986 flat nose turbo cab. £ 24,000

Image

and this tidy Boxter auto for under £ 4k

Image

Image

2 Renault's for sale.

Jamie has a much nicer version of one of these up for grabs ?

R8 TS 1300. This was dubbed the Spanish Gordini and apparently had Many Gordini mods.
If truth be known it was a bit of a woofer and was hand painted with Dulux satin emulsion ( I think )
Asking £ 4500

The rise and rise of the 5 Turbo

1959 Ford Thunderbird was the red'ist car I ever saw.
Someone loved it, as 10 minutes after this pic was taken, it had a sold sticker on it .
Asking price was £ 39,000 or offers.

1937 Lancia Aprilia.

The last time I saw one of these it was £ 10k. This one finished in surely a non factory light metallic blue was £ 37.5K

The same vendor had this splendid 1960 AC Ace with upgrades to Cobra 289 spec. It came with lots of racing history and was
priced at £ 135 k.

£ 17,950 was being asked for this 3.8 Mk 2 Jag.
It had been ' upgraded ' to 4.2 litres and painted in an interesting shade of blue. Lots of interest for this one !

Loved this Citroen Safari. 2300 cc

Blinds on the back side windows

£ 18,950

Image

Star and bargain of the sale for me was this Citroen Maserati £ 21,995

Love the '37 Lancia Aprilia - should have bought one when I was interested, but never seem to have the funds and the space available at the appropriate time. This car imortalised in great Herge drawings in one of the Tintin books.... 8)

They look smallish and delicate from the front, but much more substantial from the back
