Thanks Darren. It's very nice of you to say that. I have always tried to achieve the best that I can, not sure how that compares with other cars.

A little more progress. I have built up the door frames and fitted the glass and door cards. The pockets look presentable but not perfect. I will see if I can live with them or splash out on new ones.





It's nice to have an interior again.

And I think you're being a tad modest here - your best is very, very good. and I think the pockets look alright from here. It's the balance of new vs patina....will new stick out too much?

Overall that interior looks really tight - top job that man.

Thanks for the offer Richard but its the offside rear side window. Don't think I could make your targa glass fit

I am just waiting for a small bracket that secures the aluminium window frame together to come back from the machine shop. A number of small 4mm screws had snapped and required drilling out.
I hope they will be done in the next few days.

You are too modest. A job virtually completed by yourself with a liitle outside help in certain areas, paint etc must give you a lot of self satisfaction. Your work stands up against anyone's.
Truly impressive, praise and admiration from me.

One question,

I had always assumed the sill kick plates were fitted before the door seal is fitted but I see you are doing it the other way round. Does the sill trim simply slide under the lower door seal and only fixed by the plastic rivets along the outer lip?

Mike you don't miss a trick. The door seals are not fitted properly just yet. I have just placed them in at the moment. The sill trims will be fitted before I permenantly fit the seal.

Are the trims simply held in with the seal? Are there any fixing points on that inner edge? Any lip they slip over or under? What are the purpose of these two holes on the sill top? Are they there on all sills? Or just on the 'newer' available ones? Or did you put them in on purpose for wax oiling?

If I want to replace sill trims on mine do the door seals have to come off?

Mike the sill is a backdated 964 sill and the holes you mention are in the sill not sure what they are for. I have used them to inject wax. According to PET it gives you the option of plastic rivets or self tappers. PET makes no refeferance to year or model which fixing was used so not sure what would be correct The trim is secured under the door seal with either the rivets or screws. 5 fixings on the edge and 5 fixings under the door seal.
