Dave

The event was excellent - approx 64 '14s + some modern Porsches took part. There were 9 Brit cars (8 914s + Max in his 911). Pics to follow at some point once I download them off the Blackberry.
The trip down was uneventful apart from some tw@t in a Citroen deciding to make a 3rd lane on a dual carriageway and smashing into the front wheel arch on Rob's car :x
The hotel was nice, in a nice town, roads were good (although there were some bad surfaces thrown in) on the Tulip routes. Saw lots of Chateaux, ate lots of food and generally had a good time. Rob and I left on the Sunday so unfortunately avoided the gala dinner that night.

I so very much enjoyed the ‘International 914 Meeting’.

Some great driving roads, scenery wonderful, weather perfected, great company and wonderful 914s and even got my hands oily fixing many 914s........ heaven!

Some photos can be found here taken by Marc one of the main 914 mechanics keeping the 914s running at the meet.

Will also post some of mine soon!

The route Tom plotted there was enjoyable. The route back on Monday was very enjoyable, a great drive.
It was a bank holiday in Belgium and France and their roads were empty! Unlike British roads on a bank holiday!

Bruce took the main route back with Maurice’s RHD! as he didn’t look good after partying to gone 4am Sunday night!

Also very much looking forward to the ‘914 Holland Club Anniversary Meeting’, next week.
I believe that seventyish 914s are booked in for this meeting in the province of Gelderland.

We also had an amazing time.

Thank you so much Dave for not being able to go, and selling us the tickets!
A weekend spent driving around some great scenery with a great bunch of folk, we enjoyed every moment...
I especially enjoyed the drive home, that was really fun trying to keep up with 3 x 914-6. I think my little 4 made a good effort though!

Anyone reading this in the UK who has a 914 and didn't go... go next time! I went with the intention of trying to sell my car, but I think I am going to keep it now for sure,
unless of course a 914-6 comes along...

Here, here.
Great event and great company.

There was only one place not to be all wknd. That was behind Martin 914 spraying oil out in a fine mist. :violent3: Bit like waxoyling on the move !! and all for free !!
Well done at getting it home safely Martin and good to hear you are going to keep it. The James Bond style oil spary accessory didn't seem to slow you down on the way home as you say.

Thanks to Tom for sorting out the routes there and back.

Glad you both enjoyed it, and thanks for the recommendation.
Always nice to see a few new faces along .... a few more would be even better :-)
