New purchase and spare wheel help please?

Post by 40 scout »

Hi

My first post on the 911 section!

Well I've finally done it and bought a 911, 1972, hopefully this will stop me fiddling unnecessarily on my 356 and spending money on watches.

Picking it up early next week, train up, and driving home to Portsmouth from Birmingham.

Unfortunately the car has no spare wheel, so does anyone have a spare lurking that I can buy please, ideally on the return journey, (steel ok) ???

I plan to use the car through the summer and do some tweaks over the winter months for which I will most definitely need some DDK encouragement / assistance :)

Cheers

Steve :)

Normally I'd have a few suitable 'surplus' wheels laying around but I've sold several over the past couple of weeks so don't think I've got anything under 7in wide left. I'll double check tomorrow though.

Steve (40 scout) - I do have this 5 1/2" steel wheel (no tyre though) if it's of any use ?

Good condition.

Hi Steve, thanks, the car is the T that drummerboytom was selling here - (Ian Donkins old car).

It seems to be very solid but well worn and a bit leaky (much like its new owner).

Im planning to run it as it is through the summer and possibly carry out a few tweaks over the winter period.

Sanjay, thanks for the kind offer but I hope to collect the car on Tuesday (subject to work commitments) so will be too early for you.

Andy, PM sent.

Cheers

Glad to hear Ian's old car has stayed in the family.

Enjoy and welcome to 911 ownership.

Good car at a good price.
I have a wheel you are welcome to borrow if it helps - I'm near-ish you in West Sussex - schlap along the A27 & turn right @ Arundel.
