Yellow car.

Looks to be a new arrival at Malton.

There`s a lot of blurb but looking at the list of "features" most of that could be added in a weekend. ( ) It`s the engine description that I find cryptic... 1973T, rebuilt to 2.4S spec with 2.2S pistons, a 7R case and carbs... ? is this a brilliantly conceived R Gruppe style hotrod, or is it a schizophrenic mismatch ?

POA is, as usual, no help at all.

A few years ago it seemed that the mere addition of a grp ducktail &, if not already present, a set of SC rear flares justified calling a car an RS 'replica' (etc) - now swapping the ducktail for a plain engine lid transforms any such car into an 'ST' ...

also personally i dont see the point of taking a 73 car and then turning it into an ST ...which wasnt made in 73

imho it would sell much more easily (or have a better value) with a ducktail, RS decals and build the engine into 2.7

that car annoys me...I saw it at Tuthills and after that I really wanted an ST. trouble was I couldnt find one, or a sensibly priced year correct starting point

no sooner have I finished my RSR rep in the same colour...it pops up for sale...and definitely less than it would have cost to build!

Must be " a brilliantly conceived R Gruppe style hotrod" !!!!! - here it is ( in it's previous Tour de France guise ) at the R Gruppe Treffen - @ around 49 seconds on the Video.

Morning -

Flicking through a copyof 911 & Porsche World magazine from 2009 - I noticed this car (or a very similar US Hot-rod ) for sale - £36.5k

Interesting to know what its now on for....a bit more than that presumably - has anyone asked ? Double that amount ??
